the Blue Accelerator provides a very good test location with conditions very similar to those at an actual windfarm. The salinity is higher than in a harbour, there are additional wave loads and aeration of the water, the marine growth (fouling) is similar, there are high and low tides and there are similar water movements and flows. The demo results even indicate that the situation at the Blue Accelerator may even be more aggressive than that found further from shore.
